Job summary

Whiteoak Associates is seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The role offers up to £35,000 plus benefits and the chance to work on commercial office projects with hands-on experience from seasoned QS professionals.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification and be prepared to split time between office and construction sites, with strong numeracy and communication skills and a commitment to pursuing a Quantity Surveying degree if required.

An excellent opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction and fit-out business, working predominantly on commercial office projects.

You will work alongside two experienced Quantity Surveyors, gaining hands‑on experience across both the office and construction sites. The company is committed to developing its people and will support you through a Quantity Surveying degree if required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ideally 3-6 months' construction or commercial experience, although graduates will be considered.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and keen to develop a career in Quantity Surveying.
