Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust seeks an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or trainee ACP/tACP to join the Emergency Department team. The post focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment with opportunities in Minor Injuries/Illness.

The ACP will work across clinical, leadership, and research pillars with independence and professional accountability.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner with or training as ACP/tACP.
  • Experience in Emergency Medicine preferred (Minor Injuries/Illness).
  • Ability to work autonomously with clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Practice across Clinical, Leadership/Management and Research pillars.
  • Deliver patient-centred care with autonomy and independent assessment.
  • Contribute to the four pillars framework and professional standards.

Job description

Are you an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner or wish to train as an ACP in Emergency Medicine and looking to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced emergency setting? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ACP/tACP ideally with experience of Minor Injuries and Minor Illness to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of emergency care, playing a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a busy and diverse environment.

Main duties of the job

The AP will be expected to practice across the four pillars of Advanced Practice: Clinical, Leadership and Management and Research.

They will fulfil the expectations and capabilities outlined in the Multi-Professional Framework for Advanced Clinical Practice in England.

An established/qualified AP will deliver patient-centred care with a high degree of autonomy, independent assessment and clinical decision-making.
