Job summary

Equals One Ltd is seeking a motivated Trainee Print Operator for our Normanton production facility. This hands-on role provides an opportunity to learn print production from the ground up and to grow within a supportive team.

You will train on state-of-the-art equipment, learn setup, die installation, quality checks and process documentation. A formal training path will develop your skills while you contribute to daily production targets.

Qualifications

• No print experience is required; training will be provided.
• Attitude, aptitude and willingness to learn matter most.
• Mechanical mindset with comfort using IT systems is beneficial.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate print production machinery.
• Install cutting dies and plates.
• Perform quality inspections to meet customer specifications.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance, cleaning and lubrication.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Work safely and efficiently to hit production targets.

Trainee Print Operator

Location: Normanton

Salary: £28,850 (inclusive of shift allowance)

We are a leading print management and printing solutions business with a strong financial foundation, a loyal customer base, and a proven track record of growth. As our business continues to expand, we're looking for a Trainee Print Operator to join our production facility in Normanton.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to initiate their career in print production.

Who we're looking for

You don't need previous print industry experience – we'll provide training. What matters most is your attitude, aptitude, and willingness to learn.

You’ll need to be:

• Mechanically minded with an interest in how things work
• Comfortable using IT systems and technology
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
• Safety-conscious, organised and reliable
• Willing and able to learn and develop new skills
• A strong team player with good communication skills
• Capable of undertaking a role involving regular manual handling
• Able to work rotating shifts Monday to Friday: 6.00am-2.00pm and 2.00pm-10.00pm

What you'll be doing

You’ll learn how to produce high-quality labels in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and operating print production machinery
• Installing cutting dies and plates
• Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications
• Performing routine machine maintenance, cleaning and lubrication
• Maintaining accurate production and quality records
• Working safely and efficiently to achieve production targets

The successful candidate will operate and oversee state-of-the-art automated equipment, utilising technology to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production.
