Job summary

Boots is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join one of our stores across the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services while you complete your NVQ2 training.

With no prior experience required, you will learn to greet customers, assist in dispensing prescriptions, and provide patient advice under supervision. This in-store role includes training, career development, and the potential to progress to Pharmacy Technician

Qualifications

No prior experience required.
NVQ2 training will be provided.
Current and valid UK right to work is required.

Responsibilities

Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines and proper labelling.
Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services in-store.
Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist when appropriate.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures to support safe and legal dispensing.
Keep up to date with new store technologies and SOPs.
Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and improve adherence.
Regular training to develop healthcare knowledge with opportunities to train as Pharmacy Technician or in store leadership.
