Job summary

Boots is hiring a Trainee Dispenser in a UK store. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare team, dispensing prescriptions and advising patients while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2). This is an in-store role within the Boots pharmacy network.

No previous experience is required and full training is provided. The role offers an hourly rate of £13.12–£15.10 (London locations noted). Candidates must have the UK right to work; DBS/PVG checks may apply after an offer.

Qualifications

• Training to become a dispenser (NVQ2) while working in-store.
• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with store healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with innovations in store and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and promote adherence.
