Job summary

Boots is hiring a Trainee Dispenser in-store across the UK to support the pharmacy team and learn the dispensing process while completing your NVQ2 training. You will help pharmacists, greet customers and assist with medicines in a safe, patient‑facing role.

No prior experience is required; full training will be provided. You must have the right to work in the UK. The role pays £13.12–£15.10 per hour, and Boots offers staff benefits, discounts and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Remote applicants will not be considered; United Kingdom residency and right to work evidence required.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals in your store to assist in delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
