Job summary

Boots is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join a UK store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, and learn through the NVQ2 dispenser training while delivering safe patient care.

Full training is provided; no prior experience is required. The role is based in-store within the UK and includes progression opportunities to Pharmacy Technician or store leadership.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work; visa sponsorship not available.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, endorsing, collection).
• Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Stay updated with new store innovations and operational processes.
• Help patients manage prescriptions with reliable repeats and promote adherence.
