EIP in London is seeking a Trainee Patent Attorney with a focus on photonics to join our team on a hybrid, full-time basis. From day one you’ll work on hands-on work across lasers, imaging, optical communications and sensing, with regular client and inventor contact.

Trainee Patent Attorney - Photonics - London Full-Time | Permanent | Hybrid | Start date: September 2027

We are looking for a trainee patent attorney to join our London team and focus on photonics and optical inventions and innovation. The role will include hands‑on work from day one with regular client and inventor contact. You will have the opportunity to work across lasers, imaging, optical communications and sensing, with scope to move into telecoms, quantum and medical technologies. This is hands‑on, high‑impact work for market‑leading tech clients.
