Job summary

Quilter plc is seeking a motivated Trainee Paraplanner in Birmingham (Hybrid). You will support Financial Planners and paraplanners in preparing financial planning recommendations and client reports while developing your technical knowledge and pursuing professional qualifications.

You will gain exposure to investments, retirement, protection, and estate planning through structured training, mentoring, and practical experience, progressing within the paraplanning profession.

Qualifications

• Motivated individual with an interest in financial planning and a desire to develop a career within paraplanning.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of suitability reports and financial planning documentation.
• Assist with research and analysis of financial planning solutions across pensions, investments, protection, and other areas.
• Gather, review and maintain client information to support advice processes.
• Develop understanding of end-to-end financial planning and paraplanning processes.
• Build and apply technical knowledge through study and practical experience.
• Use internal systems to maintain records and produce documentation.
• Attend training courses and pursue industry qualifications.
• Collaborate with Financial Planners, Administrators, and Compliance teams to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
