Lift Schools invites aspiring Maths teachers to join its school-based Initial Teacher Training programme. Trainees gain hands-on classroom experience while working toward a PGCE and QTS through Ark Teacher Training, supported by mentors and a dedicated tutor.

The programme runs for one year full-time, with a Summer School from 2 – 13 August 2027 and a focus on practical teaching, lesson planning, and professional development within Lift Schools’ Birmingham context.

Competenze

• Undergraduate degree with 2:2 or above; Maths/STEM preferred.
• GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or above.
• Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
• Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Mansioni

• Learn directly in the classroom under supervision of experienced teachers and mentors.
• Gain practical classroom experience and apply pedagogical theory in practice.
• Participate in weekly training modules and 1-on-1 coaching.
• Complete the PGCE and QTS through Ark Teacher Training in partnership with Lift Schools.

Formazione

Degree with 2:2 or higher

Maths/STEM degree preferred

Strong A-Level in Maths (Grade C or above)

GCSE English & Maths grade 4/C or above

Right to live and work in the UK for the training year

Must not currently hold QTS
