Job summary

Lift Schools invites aspiring Maths teachers to join a salaried school-based Initial Teacher Training programme. Trainees earn while training, work toward a PGCE and QTS, and gain hands-on classroom experience under expert mentors across our network of Lift Schools.

The programme lasts 1 year (full-time) with a sum­mer school in August 2027, practical teaching practice, and dedicated coaching to build confidence and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Degree: 2:2 or higher by start of programme.
• GCSE English & Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Right to live and work in the UK for training year.
• Must not currently hold QTS.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical classroom experience as an unqualified Maths teacher with mentoring.
• Attend weekly training modules and in-school coaching.
• Submit to a structured progression through the Early Career Framework years.
