Job summary

Belmont Recruitment in Bury is seeking a Deputy or Senior ready to step up into a Trainee Children\'s Residential Manager role at an Ofsted-registered home. This full-time, permanent position offers structured mentoring and support from a Senior Manager to help you develop into the role, managing a home for 1–3 children.

Hours are 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. The role provides mentoring to progress into management and deliver high-quality care in line with safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Deputy or Senior in an Ofsted-registered children's home.
• Knowledge of Ofsted standards and processes.
• Proven leadership and communication skills to inspire a team.
• Commitment to delivering the highest standards of care and ethics.
• Desire to progress into management with mentoring and support.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe environment.
• Deliver high-quality care aligned with individual care plans and Ofsted standards.
• Develop leadership skills under guidance of a Senior Manager.
• Build positive relationships with children to promote resilience and independence.
• Contribute to safeguarding, risk assessments, and resident wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to maintain care quality.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Deputy or Senior looking to step up into a Trainee Children's Residential Manager role for an Ofsted-registered Children's Home in Bury. This is a full-time, permanent position offering structured mentoring and full support from a Senior Manager to help you develop into the role. The home will provide care for between 1 and 3 children. You will play a key part in delivering high-quality care while progressing into management, making a real difference to the lives of the young people we support.Location: Bury
