Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking a Trainee Machine Operator to join a night-shift role in Blandford. Full training is provided from day one, no prior machine experience required, and you will work Monday to Friday from 18:00 to 07:00 as part of a four-day week.

The role emphasizes learning to operate and set up machines, performing basic housekeeping, and contributing to a safe, productive work environment. A reliable, physically fit candidate with transport or suitable commute is preferred.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided from night one.
• Ability to work night shifts (Mon-Fri 18:00–07:00) and a four-day week.
• Willingness to learn welding from scratch.
• Reliable, punctual and with a good work ethic.
• Own transport or reasonable commute.
• Good level of physical fitness for a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Operate a machine and ensure it produces the required product.
• Perform general housekeeping and keep the area clean and organized.
• Handle manual tasks, tool changes and setting up machines.
• Maintain a safe working area and adhere to night-shift procedures.
