Job Title: Trainee Machine Operator

Location: Wigan (WN6)

Salary: £12.64 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:00

Contract: Temporary - Permanent

Our client, a medium-sized family-run business with over 30 years of experience supplying high-quality metals, is looking to recruit a Trainee Machine Operator. You will be mentored by an experienced team to develop various skills listed below:

Responsibilities

• Warehouse duties within a steel stockholding business
• Training in the use of band and circular saws
• Training in CNC milling machines
• Metal finishing
• Assisting in packing customer orders
• Loading and unloading vehicles upon stock arrival
• Checking and measuring stock
• Stock control and quality checks
• Learning to operate overhead cranes and slings
• Learning to drive forklifts and side loaders

Skills and Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Good understanding of mathematics and figures
