Job description

Job Title: Trainee Machine Operator

Location: Rainham, Essex (RM13 9PF)

Salary: GBP550 per week (GBP12.94p/h) depending on experience

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Basic working hours: 6am - 3.30pm, 42.5 hours per week

As a result of ongoing growth and expansion, Rainham Steel, a leading UK steel stockholder, requires trainee machine operatives to work at our Rainham, Essex depot. We offer a competitive rate of pay, a dynamic and friendly working environment, and a secure position within an established company.

The Role:

1. Reporting to the warehouse manager
2. Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
3. Loading the machine, setting different shapes, and quality checking the finished product
4. Assembling bundles for packing
5. Physically able to cope with reasonable manual handling
6. Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary

The Candidate:

2. Excellent communication both verbal and written
3. Organised and motivated
4. Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
5. Able to work in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
6. Good command of the English language
