Job summary

Hydrosave UK Ltd is recruiting a Trainee Leakage Detector in Bellshill to learn how to identify and reduce water loss across the network using field techniques and modern leak detection technology.

You will develop skills through structured training, mentoring and on-the-job coaching, aiming to become a skilled Leakage Detection Technician with clear career progression.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leakage detection and survey activities across the water network.
• Learn to operate specialist equipment including correlators, pipe tracers and ground microphones.
• Support step testing, leakage investigations and validation activities.
• Accurately complete timesheets, survey records and leakage reports using digital systems.
• Assist in identifying leak locations to support repair teams.
• Follow all Health & Safety, environmental and company procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain company equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and work safely at all times.
• Work closely with Trainers, Team Leaders and Skilled Technicians to build technical knowledge and practical experience.
• Represent Hydrosave professionally and provide excellent customer service.

Job Title: Trainee Leak Detection Technician

Salary: £28,051.32 plus overtime, weekend working opportunities & night allowance where applicable

The Role

No Two Days Are The Same. You Could Be

• Assisting with leak detection surveys across the water network.
• Learning how to use specialist leak detection equipment.
