Job summary

British Gas is hiring a Trainee Kitchen Appliance Engineer. You’ll train at a state-of-the-art centre in Wakefield, learning to diagnose, service and repair ovens, hobs, washing machines, dishwashers and refrigeration with hands-on support from experienced engineers.

Starting salary £28,090, rising to £40,133 with milestones; London Weighting £4,160–£6,240; expensed van and charge card provided; a full UK driving licence is required (≤6 points); seven-week training begins soon.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to diagnose faults and repair appliances with care.
• Willingness to learn through a 7-week Wakefield-based training programme.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair a range of kitchen appliances.
• Travel to customers to diagnose and fix issues, keeping homes powered and safe.
• Learn at a state-of-the-art training centre and develop practical skills.
