Job summary

Centrica plc, through its British Gas brand, is recruiting a Trainee Kitchen Appliance Engineer to diagnose, service and repair household appliances while building a future-ready skillset. You will contribute to keeping homes running smoothly and learn on-the-job at a state-of-the-art training centre across the UK.

You’ll undertake a 7-week Wakefield-based training programme with support for travel and accommodation, and progress to a salary of £40,133 plus bonus and add-ons.

Qualifications

• Shows strong technical aptitude developed through study, practical experience, or a passion for tinkering.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Commit to a 7-week training programme, primarily based in Wakefield, with travel/accommodation covered.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair a wide range of kitchen appliances, including ovens, hobs, and washing machines.
• Provide safe, reliable maintenance and service to customers in their homes or on-site.
