Trainee / Junior Estimator

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary: 25,000 - 35,000 DOE + Package

The Role

• Ensure all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver submissions after tender settlement.
• Collaborate within the established commercial and operations teams to prepare competitive tender offers.
• Conduct site visits to verify asset information provided in tender documentation.
• Analyze tender returns received during the tender process.
• Attend start-up, pre-price, and price meetings.
• Work on projects across the UK.
• Possess a sound knowledge of JCT contracts; experience with interior fit-out contracts is preferable.
• Manage multiple contracts concurrently, requiring efficient time management.
• Experience with construction contracts is useful but not essential.
• Review contracts, amendments, and identify potential risks.
• Maintain a methodical and organized approach to financial management of projects.
• Coordinate internal handovers with sales and operations teams.
• Procure subcontract packages, including LPM, Labour-only, and materials supply.
