Job Overview

Market 36 Recruitment is seeking a Trainee IT Processing Technician for a client based in Braintree. This is a temporary to permanent position.

Responsibilities

1. Perform basic functionality testing and data eradication on a range of 2nd user IT equipment including notebooks, systems, printers, TFTs, servers, networking devices, and mobile devices.
2. Capture data on each item, including specifications and condition.
3. Follow correct processes to ensure data security and equipment integrity.
4. Assist with data wiping and destruction procedures.
5. Communicate effectively with team members and management about daily activities and challenges.
6. Adhere to company policies, health & safety regulations, and security protocols.
7. Maintain good housekeeping and site security practices.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Basic knowledge of IT hardware (preferred but not essential).
2. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
3. Positive attitude and flexibility in handling tasks.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
5. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Physical ability to handle up to 60 system units daily, with lifts up to 20kg.

Additional Details

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2:30pm.
• Salary: Up to £12.82 per hour, depending on experience.
