The opportunity

We are seeking a Trainee Insurance Sales Executive to join our friendly and hard-working Personal Lines team at our town-centre offices in Wokingham, Berkshire. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a sales or customer service environment and a strong desire to build a career as an insurance professional. No previous insurance experience is required, as we provide full training and support. This role is also well-suited to individuals with some insurance background who are looking to enhance their knowledge and progress their career. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Prospecting new leads in relation to personal lines insurance
  • Closing the sale and ensuring cover is on risk
  • Securing cross selling business and referrals
  • Monitoring own sales performance in line with targets and effectively manage the client portfolio
  • Handle any complaints in accordance with regulation, the Company’s Conduct Policy and Guide to Best Practice
  • Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and always promote exceptional customer care standards
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and ensure expert advice in all areas of business
  • Ensuring all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Polices and Guides to Best Practice.
  • Developing and maintaining a professional working relationship with all clients and providing expert product advice and guidance.
  • Ensuring accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer and conducting high quality work in relation to; New Business, Renewals, Mid-term adjustments, Queries, Premium Finance Arrangements, and Issuing Cover Notes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Customer Service experience, both telephone and written
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
