Job summary

Vita Health Group is recruiting for Trainee High Intensity Therapists (HITs) in Nottingham to join the March cohort for a 12-month PGDip Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through a joint university partnership. The programme blends clinical practice with university-led learning, starting 1 March 2027, with teaching commencing 8 March 2027.

The role includes three clinical practice days (Wed-Fri) and two university days (Mon-Tue), with hybrid training and some remote work, plus one late shift weekly

Qualifications

• Must have core professional training or meet BABCP KSA requirements.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a mental health discipline.
• BABCP membership from course start date.
• Two years+ experience in mental health services, with risk management.
• Experience in Primary Care or Talking Therapies services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver High Intensity CBT interventions as per NICE guidance.
• Attend both workplace and university teaching as part of the training.
• Participate in weekly supervision from both university and workplace.
• Work 3 days in clinical practice (Wed-Fri) and 2 days at university (Mon-Tue).
• Be prepared for occasional travel or overnight stays.
