Job summary

The Junction Foundation is recruiting a Trainee High-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (Trainee HICBT). This is a training role within CYP IAPT, delivering brief, outcome-focused mental health interventions for children and young people under supervision.

You will study at Northumbria University and work three days a week in the Tees Valley Getting Help Team, covering Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool and Darlington with a flexible deployment to meet service needs. Interviews in November.

Qualifications

• This is a training role within CYP IAPT.
• Deliver high-quality, brief, outcome-focused interventions for children and young people.
• Interventions may include psycho-education, self-help and anxiety, low mood and anger presentations.
• Training and service experience will be provided through Northumbria University as part of the national curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people in the Tees Valley Getting Help Team under supervision.
• Attend university-based taught and self-directed study days required by Northumbria University.
• Work across Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool and Darlington with flexibility to meet service needs.
