Job summary

The Junction Foundation in the Tees Valley is seeking a Trainee High-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (Trainee HICBT) for a 12‑month fixed-term post, working under supervision within CYP IAPT.

You will train at Northumbria University while delivering brief, outcome-focused interventions for children and adolescents with mild to moderate mental health difficulties across Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool and Darlington.

Qualifications

• Training within CYP IAPT with supervision.
• Deliver brief outcome-focused evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
• Experience or interest in cognitive behavioural approaches is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver brief CBT-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties in children and young people.
• Work within Tees Valley Getting Help Team under supervision and in service delivery.
• Attend university taught and self-directed study days at Northumbria University and apply learning in daily practice.
• Provide flexible clinical work across Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool and Darlington.
