Job summary

Bakers of Danbury is recruiting a Trainee Building Craftsman in Essex to join the Church and Heritage Building Department. You will gain practical hands-on experience in stone, brick and plaster while accessing the Heritage Training Programme.

This full-time role offers exposure to conservation and restoration of historic buildings across the East of England, with the opportunity to progress skills in traditional techniques.

Qualifications

• Ideally you should already be working in or towards a trade or craftsman role suited for stone working, brick works and wet trades.
• Flexible approach to work at various locations throughout the East of England.

Responsibilities

• Work within Bakers of Danbury's Church and Heritage Building Department on heritage projects involving stone, brick and plaster.
• Participate in the bespoke Heritage Training Programme while gaining practical hands-on construction experience.
