Location: Uttoxeter, UK (with national travel)
Salary: 27,950 + 1,500 increase after 6 months
Package: Company van, accommodation and travel covered (around 50% travel across the UK, with occasional offshore/international work)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation in the energy and engineering sector who are seeking a Trainee Gas Quality Engineer.

This is an excellent entry-level role for someone with a strong scientific or technical background who is eager to learn. You\'ll receive full training, spending the first six months paired with an experienced engineer before progressing to working independently on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out performance evaluations on gas analysis equipment
  • Testing gas emissions and calibrating instrumentation
  • Preparing and maintaining equipment ahead of site visits
  • Collecting and analysing technical data
  • Producing clear and professional technical reports
  • Liaising with customers and delivering excellent on-site service
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
What We\'re Looking For
  • Strong academic background - ideally GCSEs/A-levels in Maths and Science (training provided)
  • Strong initiative, with the ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK (some offshore/international work required)
  • Full UK driving licence essential
