Job summary

Fort Recruitment seeks a Trainee Field Engineer (Water Industry) to install and configure monitoring equipment and repair valves on the clean water network across the region. The role includes a fully expensed company vehicle, comprehensive training, and all necessary tools and safety gear.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence for manual gears is essential.
• No prior sector experience is necessary as training is provided.
• Electrical or mechanical experience is beneficial.
• Experience as a field engineer is useful.
• Relevant academic qualifications (BTEC) are advantageous.
• You must have a strong work ethic and be fast to learn during training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure monitoring equipment.
• Repair and maintain valves on the clean water network.
• Drive between sites and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Handle lifting and moving equipment and chamber covers.
• Enter and work within confined spaces.
• Provide ongoing support and site-based tasks as required.
