Job summary

Fort Recruitment is seeking a Trainee Field Engineer (Water Industry) to install and configure monitoring equipment and repair valves across the region. The role is full-time with a structured training path and a fully expensed company vehicle, fuel card, and complete tooling.

Starting salary is £27,000 per year, with yearly increases during training, advancing towards £31,000 after two years, plus progression-based raises. Full training, pension, and equipment are provided.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence (manual gears) required.
• No sector experience required as training provided.
• Relevant academic qualifications (e.g. BTEC Engineering) advantageous.
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly during training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers/clients.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure monitoring equipment.
• Repair and maintain valves on the clean water network.
• Drive to various sites and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Install and maintain mechanical and electrical instrumentation.
