Job summary

Fort Recruitment is seeking a Trainee Field Engineer (Water Industry) to install and configure monitoring equipment and repair valves in the clean water network. This full-time role includes a fully expensed company vehicle and all necessary tools, with training provided.

Starting salary is £27,000 per year, increasing to £31,000 after two years of training, plus ongoing progression based on performance. A pension, mobile, and laptop are provided, with 40-hour weeks Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Full driving license for manual gears is essential.
• No prior sector experience is necessary as training will be provided.
• Electrical or mechanical experience is advantageous.
• Previous field engineer experience is useful.
• BTEC Engineering or BTEC Electrical are advantageous qualifications.
• Strong work ethic and rapid learning during training are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers is required.
• Flexibility to accommodate business needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive between sites and work outdoors in all weather.
• Lift, carry and move equipment and chamber covers.
• Enter and operate in confined spaces.
• Install and maintain mechanical and electrical instrumentation.
