Job summary

Skillframe Limited is seeking a Trainee Field Engineer to join its South East team. The role is field-based, covering Surrey, Middlesex, Hampshire and London, with a company van, iPhone & iPad, laptop, tools and full training provided. You’ll have overtime opportunities and 28 days’ annual leave. A driving licence is required and DBS checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence held for at least 3 years.

• Carry out a varied range of field-based engineering duties after training.
• Annual servicing of products.
• Call-outs, repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnostics and fault finding.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Risk assessments and technical documentation.

• Provide a high standard of customer service.

Following a successful year of continued growth, our client is expanding their engineering team and is looking for a Trainee Field Engineer to join their manufacturer-approved team, covering Surrey, Middlesex, Hampshire and London. What You’ll Be Doing

As a Trainee Field Engineer, you’ll be trained to carry out a varied range of field-based engineering duties, including:

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and keen to learn. Ideally, you’ll have some experience working in a technical, mechanical or electrical environment, but this isn’t essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

You’ll need:

• A good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering – desirable, not essential
• A full, clean UK driving licence held for at least 3 years
• Previous experience providing a high level of customer service
• A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
• Ability to complete a DBS check
• Ideally based in or around South or West London / Greater London
• A suitable and secure location to park the company vehicle overnight
