JJ SEARCH LIMITED, on behalf of a boutique wealth management client in Edinburgh, is seeking a Trainee Fee Data Analyst to support the client fees management team and oversee fee data processing across quarterly cycles.

You will learn data flows for client and adviser fees, ensure data accuracy, and maintain data integrity, collaborating with Front Office, Finance, Custody Services and onboarding teams to ensure accurate client charges.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant Financial Services or Investment Operations Data experience
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in accounting/finance
• Numerate and accurate with strong analytical skills

Our client is a boutique wealth management company, highly recognised with a fantastic reputation.

The Role:

The Trainee Fee Data Analystwill work within the client fees management team and support all fee processing for the Investment Management Firm – within their Edinburgh office.

The Trainee Fee Data Analyst will entail gaining an understanding of the data the Wealth Management firm uses in the course of its daily business activities in relation to client and adviser fees, the key objective being to ensure the data is accurate, and maintaining data integrity to ensure the Firm charges clients the appropriate fees.

The Trainee Fee Data Analystwill have responsibility that will include ongoing monitoring and MI reporting with support of a senior analyst.

The Trainee Fee Data Analystrequires close co-operation with Front Office, Finance, Custody Services as well as the new account onboarding team members.

The Trainee Fee Data Analystwill support the Senior Fee Analyst by processing the end-to-end operational fee process each quarter. Monitor and work with the Senior Fee Analyst to manage the process for all fee data amendment requests. Support the Senior Fee Analyst to process ad-hoc client fees in accordance with standard operating procedure.

Where necessary The Trainee Fee Analyst will liaise with internal teams to ensure high level of data accuracy. Ongoing data monitoring to identify any incorrect fee set-ups. Ongoing data monitoring to identify any fees which are at detriment to the client (i.e. above our standard rate). Ongoing monitoring of MI to assure staff account fees are in line with our policy

The Trainee Fee Analyst will work with the Senior Fee Analyst to support the updating and management of the fee discount / fee holiday approval process for new and existing clients. Work with the Senior Fee Analyst to support the maintenance of the fee discount register and review on a quarterly basis with the Head of Front Office and Front Office Team Heads

The Trainee Fee Analyst assist with the maintenance of client fee schedules ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines. Own and maintain stakeholder support materials on the intranet.

The Candidate

1-2 years relevant Financial Services or Investment Operations Data industry experience desirable

Competent in all MS Office products – specifically Excel

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience

Data entry and/or Client Data maintenance experience gained within an Operations/Finance environment

Highly numerate and accurate with an investigative approach to problem solving

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately
