Job summary

TSG UK is seeking a technically capable individual to test and repair lab repairable items at our Longforgan office. You will diagnose faults at the component level, using electronics knowledge and computer skills to restore devices and meet customer SLAs.

The role emphasizes collaboration across departments, stock control, and maintaining a safe, organized lab environment while identifying trends to improve field support and upskill teams.

Qualifications

• Experience fault finding to component level and repair of lab items.
• Electronics qualification or relevant hands-on experience required.
• Proficient in computer hardware and software basics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Proactive in self-development and learning new skills.
• Ability to prioritise work and perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Fault find and repair items deemed repairable for customer SLAs.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet deadlines and stock needs.
• Use stock system to keep repairable items at optimum levels.
• Maintain a tidy and safe lab environment.
• Handle warehouse and stock control duties.
• Identify breakdown trends and help deploy fixes for field engineers.
• Generate reports on No Fault Found repairs for training use.

Job description

In this exciting new opportunity based at our Longforgan office, you will play a crucial role in meeting TSG UK business requirements by accurately testing and repairing lab repairable items to ensure we consistently meet customer SLAs. This role requires a strong foundation in electronics, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn new skills!

Key Responsibilities:

• Fault finding and repair of items deemed repairable by the business this can include dispenser control boards; desktop computer motherboards; payment terminals & tools for field technicians
• Working with other departments to ensure project deadlines & SLAs can be met where the lab plays a key role in stock availability.
• Using our stock management system to ensure stock levels on repairable items are kept at optimum levels
• Maintain a tidy and safe lab environment
• Warehouse and stock control responsibilities
• Identify breakdown trends and where applicable implement processes to allow field engineers to resolve the issues
• Track no Fault Found repairs, creating reports that can be used by field team(s) to re-educate and/or upskill team members
• any other duties as deemed appropriate by Management

Skills & Abilities Required (Essential):

• Experience fault finding to component level
• Electronics qualification or appropriate experience

Skills & Abilities Required (Desirable):

• Experience working in a warehouse environment
• Familiar with Microsoft office applications
• Experience in loading firmware, software & operating systems to hard drives, SSDs & integrated circuit chips
