Job summary

KBM Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist provider of climate control and digital solutions for a Trainee Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineer's Mate. Based from the depot in Cumbernauld, you will support installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and hire equipment across the Central Belt and customer sites.

Qualifications

Some electrical, mechanical or engineering experience through employment, college, an apprenticeship or practical work.
Basic understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices.
Willingness to work in both workshop and customer sites.
Good problem‑solving and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Assist experienced engineers with installation and commissioning of electrical hire equipment at customer sites.
Support maintenance, servicing and repairs in workshop and on-site.
Assist with testing, fault-finding and basic electrical repairs on 415V and 110V equipment.
Prepare equipment for hire and ensure it is clean, safe and ready for use.
Assist with delivery, installation and collection of equipment from customer sites.
Learn to identify faults and support engineers in resolving issues.
Monitor installed equipment and report faults or issues.
Support project logistics and on-site operations.
Maintain professional relationships with customers and uphold safety and quality standards.
