Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Trainee Earthing Engineer to join a growing security-focused team across the UK. The role is field-based, requiring travel and a full, clean UK driving licence.

On training completion, you will install and test Earthing systems at LV/HV/GIS sites, support lightning protection work, liaise with clients, and produce detailed site reports. This is a hands-on, growth-focused opportunity.

Qualifications

• GCSE or O Level in English Language, Mathematics and a Science Subject.

Responsibilities

• Install and test Earthing systems to LV/HV/GIS sites (sub stations, power plants, data centres, etc).
• Work on lightning protection systems for various building types.
• Liaise with clients on site and resolve design issues with architects/project managers.
• Ensure works are carried out safely, diligently, and on time.
• Use Earthing test meters and record site data in precise engineering reports.
• Order components and maintain van stock as needed.
• Provide training to other Engineers and company staff when required.
