Metro Rod Coventry & Leicester is seeking a General Assistant to support our drainage engineers and tanker drivers. The role includes on‑the‑job training with a view to progression into an Engineer position within 6–12 months.

You will assist with cleaning, clearance, and maintenance of drains, ensuring top customer service and strict adherence to H&S and QA processes. A full clean UK driving licence and own vehicle are required.

• Willingness to work some unsociable hours as required.
• Keen interest in progressing within drainage with on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities

• Support Drainage Engineers with cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance tasks.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and professionalism on site.
• Adhere to H&S and Quality Assurance procedures at all times.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the Metro Rod Support Centre to ensure high standards.
