Job summary

Lloyd's Register International is seeking a Trainee Money Advice Caseworker in Liverpool for a hybrid role. The successful candidate will provide in-person debt and money advice, supporting colleagues, and developing skills in line with Citizens Advice standards.

The position offers a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027, 35 hours per week, with a salary of £27,097 per year and opportunities to gain formal accreditation while helping clients navigate debt relief options.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of debt and money advice services.
• Ability to meet performance and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide a casework service covering debt and money management advice.
• Deliver services via phone, digital channels, appointments, outreach, and home visits.
• Draft letters, budgets, financial statements, and negotiate with third parties.
• Maximise income through welfare benefits take-up.
• Prepare and present cases to tribunals and courts when required.
• Refer clients to appropriate agencies and advisers as needed.
• Maintain service standards and comply with CA and Money and Pensions Service frameworks.
• Monitor and report on activity and performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet KPIs and targets.
• Provide emergency cover and support other service areas as needed.
• Analyze complex information and communicate it effectively for negotiations.
