Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Recovery Claims Handler for our in-house team Strata Solicitors in the UK. You will manage a caseload of uninsured loss recovery claims and deliver exceptional client service.

After probation (3 months), you can work from home two days per week. Office hours are 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 37.5 hours. We support career progression with financial backing for professional qualifications like CII or legal credentials.

Overview

Are you motivated by helping people and delivering excellent customer service?

You’ll be known internally as a Recovery Claims Handler in our in‑house law firm, Strata Solicitors. You’ll be responsible for efficiently managing a caseload of claims and delivering exceptional client service.

Once you’ve passed your probation period, typically 3‑months, you’ll be able to work from home two days per week. Our offices are open between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. You’ll work 37.5 hours between those times.

To support your career progression, we’ll also contribute financially for you to gain your Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) or a professional legal qualification.

How you'll make an impact

• It’ll be your job to proactively handle your own caseload of uninsured loss recovery claims on our office case management system. You’ll communicate with third parties and insurers on legal liability for road traffic accidents and achieve swift settlement for our clients.
• Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously, and promptly
• Develop relationships with clients by providing a friendly and efficient service
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on our claims system at all times
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements
• Consider litigation at the appropriate stage of the claim to avoid delays and act in our client's best interests
