Job summary

Ormiston Families invites applications for a Trainee Child Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) under the YOUnited partnership. This fixed-term 12‑month contract offers a salary of £26,227.50 per year and will commence training in January 2027, with a permanent position subject to vacancies in 2028.

You will train with University College London at the Anna Freud Centre while delivering evidence-based guided self-help for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with CYP who have experienced mental health or emotional wellbeing difficulties.
• Minimum of a second-class bachelor’s degree from a UK university or overseas equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g., psychology), or relevant professional experience in CYP Mental Health/Education/Mentorship.
