Qualifications

• IBMS Accredited Biomedical Science Degree is required.
• Current UK professional registration is essential.
• Experience in a Cellular Pathology lab is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle specimen receipt, booking in and tissue transfer.
• Perform tissue embedding and microtomy (cut sections).
• Operate automated immunohistochemistry (IHC) and related procedures.
• Review training progress toward IBMS registration portfolio.
• Maintain QC/QA in line with UKAS ISO 15189 and department policies.
