Job summary

Stagecoach Group Limited in Peterhead is recruiting a Trainee Bus Driver to join our depot team. You will be trained to obtain your PCV licence while earning weekly wages, with a starting rate and paid training.

Earn while you learn, with fully paid training and a clear path to becoming a qualified Bus Driver. Expect shifts across a 5-on-2 off pattern at the Peterhead depot, with a strong focus on passenger safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• 18 years old or older with UK driving licence and no more than 6 penalty points.
• Right to work in the UK and meet DVLA residency requirement (183 days).
• Willingness to learn and deliver great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete our industry leading training and obtain PCV licence.
• Drive our bus fleet safely and confidently.
• Ensure every passenger has a great journey.
• Deliver top-notch customer service to people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Create a welcoming environment where customers feel respected and cared for.
• Work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

• Pay rate during training of £14.63 per hour (training will last 6 – 8 weeks)
• Annual earnings of £31,9500 following completion of training based on 39 hours per week as a qualified Bus Driver
• Shift patterns of any 5 over 7

What do you need to apply?

• You need to be 18 years old and hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Right to work in the UK (You will need to have been in the UK for a minimum of 183 days as a part of DVLA requirement)
• A patient, safe and courteous approach to driving
• Being the face of Stagecoach, a positive, friendly attitude and a passion for delivering great customer service
• A willingness to learn and be part of a brilliant team
