Job summary

Stagecoach Group in Morecambe is recruiting trainee bus drivers. You’ll be paid to learn how to drive a bus at our expert driving academy and gain your PCV licence through a Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship.

Starting training wages £15.34 per hour for 6–8 weeks, then rising to £15.83 or £16.25 depending on routes. Estimated annual earnings after training are around £31K+ based on 39 hours per week as a qualified Bus Driver.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and hold a UK driving licence with at least 1 year experience.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to learn and train for a PCV licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete industry-leading training and secure your PCV licence as part of the Level 2 Apprenticeship.
• Drive our fleet safely and confidently after licensing.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a great journey for passengers.
• Create a welcoming, respectful environment for all customers.

What do you need to apply?

• You need to be 18 years old and hold a driving licence for a least 1 year with no more than 6 penalty points. No Bans in past 5 Years (Drink/Drug Drive Bans past 10 years). No Mobile Phone Offences in past 3 Years
• Right to work in the UK (You will need to have been in the UK for a minimum of 183 days as part of DVLA requirement)
• A patient, safe and courteous approach to driving
• Being the face of Stagecoach, a positive, friendly attitude and a passion for delivering great customer service
• A willingness to learn and be part of a brilliant team
