Job summary

Arriva in Chester is recruiting for Trainee Bus Drivers. You’ll join our Chester depot with full CPC training and support from our team. The trainee rate starts at £13.45 per hour for 12 weeks, rising as you progress through the programme.

After initial training, shifts cover 5 out of 7 days with mornings, afternoons and evenings on a rotating basis. Enjoy benefits like staff travel, and progression opportunities within Arriva.

Qualifications

• Over 18 with at least 12 months of driving experience.
• Valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol test.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support training and complete PCV licence through Arriva Training School.
• Attend paid training and CPC development sessions.
• Follow shift patterns including early mornings, afternoons and weekends.
• Provide safe, reliable transport for customers and communicate clearly.
