Job summary

Arriva is recruiting at its Southport depot for Trainee Bus Drivers. You’ll start with full paid training to obtain your PCV licence, with ongoing CPC training and opportunities to progress into management or driver expert roles.

Shifts are rotating 6–8 weeks in advance, with early, midday and evening slots, plus substantial staff travel benefits. Expect a structured training pathway, supportive team environment, and a community-focused role connecting passengers to what matters most.

Qualifications

• Be over 18 years old with at least 12 months of driving experience.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Pass a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses and provide safe, reliable transport for passengers.
• Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication with passengers.
• Participate in rotating shifts and support training and development.
