Job summary

Stagecoach Group in Northampton is offering an Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship. You will be paid to train while you learn, gaining your PCV licence through a structured programme that leads to a career as a bus driver.

No prior driving experience is required, and you’ll join a supportive team at the Northampton depot. You will start with paid training at £12.71 per hour, rise to £14.02 when you work alone, and reach £16.45 per hour after your first anniversary as a qualified driver.

• Right to work in the UK (DVLA criteria) and reside in the UK for the last 3 years.
• A patient, friendly attitude and a passion for delivering great customer service.

• Based at our Northampton depot, located just outside Northampton Town Centre
• Pay rate during training of £12.71 per hour (training will last 12-14 weeks)
• Pay rate increasing to £14.02 once you are working alone and then increasing again on your 1 year anniversary £16.45 per hour as a Qualified Bus Driver
• Shift patterns mixed of any 4 or 5 days in 7

• Completing our industry leading training, securing your PCV licence followed by ongoing CPC training and professional development which form part of gaining your Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship

What do you need to apply?

• You need to be 18 years old and hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Right to work in the UK (You will need to have been in the UK for a minimum of 183 days as part of DVLA requirement) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands or the British overseas territories for the last 3 years OR meet alternative criteria due to funding criteria (can be discussed via application)
