Job summary

Arriva in Thurmaston is recruiting for a Trainee Bus Driver. You will start with full paid training at the Arriva Training School, earning during the mentoring phase while you learn routes and safety procedures.

The role offers 5-in-7 rotating shifts, early starts, and progression into driver roles across the network. The package includes extensive training, ongoing CPC, and a path to long-term development within Arriva.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Able to pass drug and alcohol test.
• Good customer service skills.
• Flexible to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses safely and on time on assigned routes.
• Assist passengers and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and report issues promptly.
• Follow Arriva policies and road safety regulations.
• Contribute to a positive passeng er experience on every journey.
