Job summary

Stagecoach Aberhill Depot Methilhaven Road, Methil Leven KY8 3LA is looking for a Trainee Bus Driver. No experience needed—we’ll pay you to train and cover the cost of your PCV licence, so you can start earning while you learn.

Training lasts 6–8 weeks, then pay rises to £14.72 per hour with progression to £16.22 and overtime at £19.00. 42-hour weeks across day, middle, and late shifts offer a stable, community-focused career.

Qualifications

• No prior driving experience required.
• Willing to undergo fully paid training to gain PCV licence.
• Must be aged 18 or over and hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• UK right to work and DVLA requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Complete industry-leading training and obtain PCV licence with CPC ongoing training.
• Safely drive our fleet, delivering great customer service on every journey.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers across varied shifts (days, middles, evenings, weekends).
• Be a positive, friendly face representing Stagecoach in the community.

Trainee Bus Driver

• Pay rate during training of £13.45 per hour (training will last 6 – 8 weeks)


• Pay rate of £14.72 after training for the first 12 months then rises to £16.22 per hour, Overtime rate of £19.00 per hour. Annual earnings of £32,148 following completion of training based on 42 hours per week as a qualified Bus Driver


• Shift patterns of Day shift, Middle Shifts and Late shifts, working any 5 days over 7

What do you need to apply?

• You need to be 18 years old and hold a driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points


• Right to work in the UK (You will need to have been in the UK for a minimum of 183 days as a part of DVLA requirement)


• A patient, safe and courteous approach to driving
