Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. seeks a Trainee Behaviour Support Worker for a specialist SEMH school in North Bristol. You will support pupils with emotional and behavioural needs, helping them stay engaged and build positive relationships.

Previous school experience isn’t essential; personality and willingness to learn matter. Free online training is provided before you start, with ongoing CPD and support from your dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and genuine interest in supporting young people.
• Be patient, resilient and confident building relationships.
• Able to remain calm when faced with challenging behaviour.
• Available full-time (32.5 hours per week).
• Hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Be able to provide suitable references.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils throughout the school day, helping them manage emotions and stay engaged with learning.
• Help develop positive relationships and supportive behaviours.
• Remain calm in challenging situations to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Work full-time during term time with the potential to secure a permanent role.
