Job summary

Specsavers in Chorley is seeking an Audiology Practitioner to join our friendly team. You will be enrolled on the AP course and trained to completion under the supervision of a Hearing Aid Dispenser, learning to perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, and replace domes and tubes.

There is a degree of admin duties as part of the role, with opportunities to move into other roles within the store or wider business in the future.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal English skills to communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Keen interest in self-development and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ideally fluent in using patient management systems.

Responsibilities

• Enrol on the Specsavers AP course and train to completion with support.
• Learn to perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, fit domes and tubes.
• Assist with admin duties within the store and support the audiology team.

Want to help the nation hear clearer than ever? As an Audiology Practitioner at Specsavers, you can work alongside your partners and colleagues to help more customers with their hearing, faster. You will be enrolled onto the Specsavers AP course and will train to completion, with the support of a Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD), learning valuable skills such as being able to perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, fitting new domes and replace tubes. This role will also involve a degree of admin duties too.

Once fully trained there may be the opportunity to move on to other roles within the store or wider business. Here at Specsavers, your opportunities are endless.

You will be to supporting our stores in Chorley and Leyland, both easily accessible by public transport.

While we don’t need you to have a degree or any specific qualifications to enrol on this programme, we do need you to have a few skills to get started here.Firstly, you’ll need to have good written and verbal English skills, so we know you can communicate effectively with our customers and colleagues. You’ll also need to have a keen interest in self-development, desire to further your skills, and then ideally a fluency in use of patient management systems (but don’t worry if you don’t have that last one).
