Job Description:

Overview

The Betfred Group has grown to become a leading global betting and gaming business. From our humble beginnings in Salford in the sixties, we have always differentiated ourselves by offering real value and a great customer experience, the same qualities that are at the heart of our business today.

Today, Betfred is a well-known brand on the high street with 1,340 shops across the UK, along with a significant online presence through online sports betting, casino, and games. We are one of the most active sponsors of sport in the UK, sponsoring a wide range of sports and tournaments under the famous red and blue banner. Our own TV channel, Betfred TV, streams live daily to our shops across the UK from Media City studios.

Responsibilities

Our 1,340 shops are central to our business and community. As a retail colleague, you will ensure our shops provide a warm, welcoming environment for customers to place bets, watch live sports, and play gaming machines.

Daily tasks include processing customer bets, promoting responsible gambling, assisting with inquiries, maintaining shop standards, and, after training, deputising for the Shop Manager. Ensuring customers bet within their means and following the ‘Think 21’ policy is crucial.

Skills & Experience

You must be 18 or over to work in our betting shops. An interest in sports and betting is advantageous but not required, as we provide structured training to support your development. We also offer further training and career progression opportunities.

If you are a great communicator, passionate about customer service, and enjoy building relationships, we want to hear from you.

In return, you will be rewarded, recognized, and valued!

Be Rewarded:
  • Flexible scheduling: choose part-time or full-time roles that suit your lifestyle.
  • Earn bonuses and incentives to boost your income.
  • Build a nest egg with monthly pension contributions.
  • Access enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
  • Refer a friend and earn rewards through our referral program.
  • Benefit from death in service cover.
  • Enjoy discounts and cashback offers from various retailers.
Get Recognized:
  • Join our long-service recognition program.
  • Be acknowledged for your achievements and earn points redeemable with over 700 retailers.
  • Receive gifts for milestones like new births, adoptions, and weddings, plus extra wedding day leave.
Feel Valued:
  • Access 24/7 virtual GP healthcare for you and your family.
  • Utilize mental health support services, including counselling.
  • Manage finances with wellbeing packages and early access to earned wages.
  • Participate in savings schemes with a 5% bonus.
  • Get personalized financial guidance from an independent coach.
  • Confidential support through our Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Use wellbeing tools covering physical, mental, nutritional, and financial health via our app.
  • Enjoy free eye tests and contributions for VDU users.
