Qualifications

  • Experience in animal care and welfare preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitise and maintain animal caging and equipment.
  • Load and unload autoclaves and sterilisation equipment.
  • Prepare and distribute supplies within the facility.
  • Carry out routine cleaning duties across designated areas.
  • Support animal husbandry, breeding and colony maintenance under supervision.
  • Assist with cage changing and animal care tasks.
  • Rebuild, sterilise and maintain isolators and equipment.
  • Follow health, safety, quality and biosecurity procedures.
  • Maintain logs and inventory documentation.
  • Support stock control and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean, sanitise and maintain animal caging and related equipment
  • Load and unload autoclaves and sterilisation equipment
  • Prepare and distribute supplies within the facility
  • Carry out routine cleaning duties across designated areas
  • Support animal husbandry, breeding and colony maintenance activities under supervision
  • Assist with cage changing and animal care tasks
  • Rebuild, sterilise and maintain isolators
  • Dispose of waste safely and in accordance with procedures
  • Maintain accurate records, logs and inventory documentation
  • Support stock control and supply management
  • Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Assist colleagues across the department when required
  • Follow all health and safety, quality and biosecurity procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
